Join Cherie Sage, State Coordinator for Safe Kids Kansas for a 45-minute Coffee & Learn on Water Safety Topics for Families with Young Children.  

Playtime is important for a child’s health and development. Make sure you know how to keep your child safe in water--at the pool and lake, or at home in the bathtub and wading pool.  Safe Kids Kansas will share tips on how to make your child’s splash time a safe time.  

Zoom link will be sent to registered participants the day before the workshop.

Trainer:   Cherie Sage, Safe Kids Kansas

Cherie Sage is the State Coordinator for Safe Kids Kansas, a non-profit coalition of partners whose mission is to prevent unintentional injuries to Kansas children. Cherie has worked in injury prevention for 25 years and is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. She holds a MS in Management from Baker University and is a graduate of the Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute and Leadership Greater Topeka Class of 2000.  She received KHSA’s State Children’s Champion Award in 2023.


While these trainings were created for home visitors and health coordinators, if you are a parent or caregiver, a teacher, a classroom aide, or you would just like to know more about home safety, you are welcome to attend!
